Abstract: The article analyzes modern teaching methods, designed from the standpoint of information didactics (presupposing "participation" and "assistance" of computer) and defined as the sum total of the teacher’s actions to transfer educational information to the sense organs of students and manage its perception, understanding, remembering and proper use with the help of ICT. The authors study the relation of the techniques, included in these methods, with the mechanism and stages of the technology of development of critical thinking through reading and writing. This relation allows substantiating the efficiency of the methods of "expert sieve", "language management" and "object-designing method" for the development of critical thinking of students in the learning process. On the basis of this conclusion it becomes possible to state the following: creation of new teaching methods in the modern “global information and communication paradigm” is the necessary condition for the establishment of correspondence between the updated education process and the requirements to its quality and effectiveness in information and communication environment; new teaching methods can be constructed on the basis of techniques obtained through disaggregation of the methods of classical didactics with subsequent aggregation of these techniques with the ones which constitute teaching methods in information didactics.
Key words: Modern teaching methods; information didactics; critical thinking; technology of development of critical thinking through reading and writing.
