Abstract: The internal affairs staff should meet rather high psychological demands which are inseparably connected with their execution of professional activity. A policeman/policewoman should possess a strong will to be able to overcome external and internal obstacles and difficulties, take personal decisions, take responsibility upon himself/herself and guarantee the solution of the problem, execute the commands and orders of the authorities, i.e. to be dutiful. It is desirable that the future policemen/policewomen possess these properties and they be taken into account at the stage of entering a higher educational institution. At the same time, even a close analysis of special literature does not make it possible to give an unambiguous definition of these notions, to say nothing of their interrelationship. The article presents the first attempt to successively analyze the factorial correlation between will and responsibility, duty, style and motivation of duty in teenage representatives taking into consideration their gender distinctions.
