Teaching Chinese Students Core Subsects (The Experience of the Ural Mining University and the Ural Federal University)

Abstract: Based on the results of the methodological and pedagogical research analysis, the article highlights the problems of methodology for classroom teaching Chinese students being trained in Russian universities. The goal of the article is to find the ideas that would help to develop a methodology for training foreign students, to optimize their independent work and to facilitate rapid adaptation to the peculiarities of the Russian University. Cross-cultural understanding and its possible adaptation to the educational process will simplify teaching material perception, clear up misunderstanding and free up time that may be required in the future. The authors consider the ways to improve the teaching methodology at the University, where academic group consists of the students from Russia, the neighboring countries and beyond. The methodology proposed features of work organization in an international student group and solution of intercultural problems. In the training process a teacher performs a supervisory and organizational role, conducts individual tutorials and tutorials in small groups in a classroom environment. The proposed common principles will help to organize the process of teaching virtually any academic discipline.
