Abstract: Modern paradigm of higher professional education, which assumes the use of active methods of learning by the students, gives rise to multiple problems due to the secondary education quality, psychological aspects of teaching and the difficulty of planning of the educational process in higher school. The problem of timing becomes urgent when the student has to do independent tasks, which are included in the curriculum. These tasks include reading for lectures, labs and practical classes, writing tests and course papers. The paper offers to include independent work in the electronic timetable and to show it on the web-site of the university, which will help every student to manage their time. It is suggested that independent work for every academic subject should be adjusted in time with the help of technical, information and communication technologies used in the university. This approach to planning and inclusion of independent work of students is shown in the form of “Student’s Planner”. The concept of the use of such timetable that includes both usual academic subjects planning and independent work can be implemented with the help of the technology Avatar.
Key words: Learning process; norms of learning process; independent work; electronic timetable; avatar.
