Similarities Between Russian and Chinese Communicative Means

Abstract: Each language has a communicative level that reflects the relations between the speaker and the described event or situation. The difficulties of translation the dialogue in Russian into Chinese are caused by the need to reproduce the meanings of the communicative level. This level employs such units as particles, interjections etc., which were outside linguistic interest for a long time. The author of this article shows the process of translation of these parts of speech used in a dialogue from a film. The paper has a great practical value, as the analysis reveals the difficulties in understanding and translation a dialogue in Russian by the Chinese. In this case, the communicative means of the Russian language are important to express relations between the speaker, listener and the situation. The semantic analysis gives the Chinese students clues to understand the unknown units. The material of the article may be used in teaching Russian in China to describe Russian language worldview.
