Abstract: Professional knowledge of Russian specialists includes theoretical postulates and universal ideas about the world, general knowledge and abilities , integrated knowledge of the Russian language and literature, universal cultural knowledge and the knowledge of the language studied. Traditional Chinese education, paying attention to the knowledge of vocabulary and grammar of the studied language, doesn’t take into account the fact that the correct grammatical or lexical form isn’t equal to successful communication. The article discusses pragmatic ability, it proves the importance of its formation in the course of training Russian specialist and it also describes the model of training students of the specialties in the humanities. Pragmatic competence is a unity of knowledge and rules of making an utterance and creating a text (discourse) out of them, the ability to use different utterances to reach different communicative goals, the skills to make utterances in a foreign language with regard to the peculiarities of relations between the speakers, which results in the ability to make an utterance of a certain communicative and pragmatic goal.
