Abstract: The article reveals the problem of formation of a system of motivation of pedagogical workers. In order to raise the professional level and develop the competences of teachers it is necessary to create the system of moral and material motivation of teachers. And while creating such system it is important to take into account the system of preservation of the teaching staff and attraction of young teachers to schools. By using a new system of payment and various forms of motivation of teachers, the headmaster would be able to differentiate and regulate the salary of various groups of workers depending on complexity and working conditions for ensuring the necessary of correspondence between the character and amount of work and the payment for this amount.
