Economics of Education: Basic Concepts and Experience of System Analysis

Abstract: On the basis of a systematic methodology we conducted content analysis of the concept "economy of education", its characteristic features as an applied science, practice and training discipline are described. The main methodological elements of each of them are presented: object, subject, target, tasks and results of activity. The results of economy of education is new knowledge (concepts, terms, approaches that reflect the features of economic relations and processes in educational system), new methods of research, promotion of effectiveness of economic relations and processes of educational services in educational establishments, as well as knowledge, skills, competences, abilities and business skills, which help to carry out the economic activity in educational establishments productively.
