Abstract: The article describes the results of empirical research aimed at identifying the types of adolescents prone to cyber-addiction. The authors single out three types of such adolescents through cluster analysis, and describe the factor structure of each type. The article defines the urgency of the empirical research and identification of typology of cyber-addiction in adolescents, identifies and benchmarks the key stages of the study, presents the methods and techniques of research, and characterizes the sample. The problem of research is formulated in the beginning of the article; it is believed to consist in the global computerization of the modern society. Analysis of the stages, factors and components of formation of cyberaddiction in adolescents has been conducted and presented in the conclusions. The article describes the following types of adolescents prone to cyber-addiction: the conflict type, the aggressive type and the socially introverted type; each of them is characterized by its own peculiarities. The article characterizes the sample, indicating the age of the subjects and methods of the sample formation, enumerates the methods of research, and justifies their choice. The authors present the results of their research in quantitative and qualitative form, as well as the comparison of the three groups. They also define the problem field for the experimental group, with the aim of working out and testing a program of psycho-pedagogical support of teenagers prone to cyber-addiction.
