Abstract: The article examines the problems of foreign students’ adjustment to the Russian educational environment. Educational cooperation in creating adjustment environment and achieving learning outcomes from teaching Russian as a foreign language are described as effective mechanisms. Selected as the training methods, they have proven to be both rational and optimal instructional techniques, oriented to the needs of a multicultural group and facilitation of conflict-free adaptation to another milieu of each foreign student with their individual mental and social experiences. The introduced methods provide enhanced educational process and develop intercultural dialogue, with simultaneous gentle inclusion of foreign students in the University learning process. This takes place with minimal losses, as it triggers interpersonal activity potential and increases motivation to acquire a foreign culture. Consequently, the generated educational environment will contribute to increasing competitiveness of the Russian education system and enable its integration into the world educational system.
