The Indicators and Criteria for Assessing the Existence of Self-Management of Bachelors of Social Work

Abstract: The urgency of implementation of self-management into the activity of Bachelors of Social Work is determined by the integration of Russia into the global educational space and introduction of the concepts of social development of the country with the help of social policy of the Russian Federation. The concept of social development of the country proves the efficiency of solving a number of social problems by means of social work. This increases the role of training specialists of the sphere of social work. Bachelors of Social Work should acquire professional competencies that manifest themselves in the high standard of their professional activity; the skills of organization and planning in the sphere of social work; the necessary knowledge of the bases of self-management and self-education, as well as the bases of professional activity. These competencies can be developed in the course of professional training at the university, forming the abilities of self-management of prospective Bachelors of Social Work. The article proves the necessity of self-management formation for Bachelors of Social Work aimed at the development of professional competencies. The author analyzes interdependence between the requirements to professional and personal qualities of Bachelors of Social Work and the ways of self-management and educational work aimed at self-management formation. Special attention is paid to the indicators and criteria of self-management assessment of Bachelors of Social Work.
