Abstract: The problem of the need for correction of the sphere of meanings in adolescents with deviant behavior is indicated, by emphasizing the emotional component of the future analyzing the past experiences. The theoretical and methodological basis of the work is the view of the subject-activity approach, in which the subjective aspect of meaning, sign, phenomenon or event determines the way of the person and their experience; the past experience allows us to consider the person in the context of the social situation of development, "to solve the problem for meaning." The principles of the cognitive-reflexive approach become the basis for structuring the emotional experiences of adolescents, when the analysis and decision-making in unstructured, uncertain future situations become possible. It is shown that the work with the emotional component of the future through appeals to past experience, contributes to changes in the adolescent’s system of relations to the temporal continuum, shifting the focus toward a life full of positive impressions and meanings; it stimulates the development of internal activity aimed at finding one's own possibilities, needs and interests that might be revealed in the future in a specific socio-cultural environment.
