Abstract: The article is devoted to the urgent topic of alienation and destructive behavior in the youth environment. Current trends in the development of society, the rapid spread of the Internet and its significant impact on the consciousness and behavior of young people open new forms of destructive behavior of young people. The phenomenon of social tension is characteristic of modern Russia. Social tension is expressed in the negative state of the group or society as a whole due to the pressure of the natural and social environment. The pressure of the environment and non-observance of norms in society, the weakening of intra-group relationships lead to the development of the desire to close, isolate the others and isolate themselves from an external stimulus. Such alienation contributes to the development of destructive behavior among young people and extreme forms of its manifestation - extremism. The media are one of the external stimuli that put pressure on the youth environment. The Internet is the main information resource for the youth environment where the main tool to influence contemporary youth is extremist materials - statements and texts that have signs of unlawful acts. The educational environment is essential in the formation and development of young people. The article presents the essence and forms of prevention of destructive behavior of students in educational organizations. The essence of psychological prevention of destructive behavior of students should be in development of certain psychological, pedagogical, social and other methods for an effective personal adaptation, forecasting, and preventing of deviant and destructive behavior, increasing psychological immunity to traumatic factors and stressful situations, improving psychological climate in the educational organization and the family of students.
