Abstract: The article discusses the essence, goals and directions of aesthetic education in the course “Basics of Life Safety”. Students must be able to perceive and appreciate the beautiful, tragic, comic, ugly in life and art, to live and work “according to the laws of beauty”. Aesthetic education is not limited to fine arts, since the goals of aesthetic education in the course “Basics of Life Safety” are: the education of a moral person, a patriot of the Motherland; education for health; education; readiness live according to the laws of beauty; fostering a culture of safety. The factors of aesthetic education in the course “Basics of Life Safety” are: the image of the teacher, relationships between teachers and pupils, the use of visual and teaching aids, the design of the classes and corridors of educational institutions to teach safe lifestyle, preparation and carrying out of holidays, active participation of students in Patriotic events and activities, etc. In the article it is recommended that the topics of the lessons of “Basics of Life Safety” should focus on aesthetic upbringing. The main focus of the program “Basics of Life Safety” is on the skills of foreseeing danger and predicting risk. In the programs each class has a theme related to aesthetic education, therefore there is a need to use effective methods and techniques at the lessons and in extra-curricular activities that will enrich the system of classes on the aesthetic education of schoolchildren. It is concluded that to live according to the laws of beauty is to live according to the laws of security.
