Pedagogical Competence Formation of Future Lawyers by Means of Legal Education of the Elderly

Abstract: The article presents the results of the research of practical training of future lawyers in the course of legal education of the elderly. The article considers the elderly as a special target group of consumers of educational services and examines the specific motivations of older people to legal education. The article substantiates the basic components of pedagogical activity of the future lawyers; describes their contents in accordance with the requirements of the Federal state standards of higher legal education; reflects the links of the pedagogical skills with General cultural and pedagogical competencies that are included in the requirements of the standard. The relevance of the research is connected with the provisions of the "Strategy of actions in the interests of senior citizens until 2025", where the key goal of public policy is sustainable improvement of the quality of life of older people. Educating the elderly should be regarded as a goal and as a tool for implementing public policy. The functions of legal education are projected onto the plane of practical training of future lawyers. The basic idea of the formation of pedagogical competences of future lawyers in the process of legal education of older people is extrapolation of common approaches to training and education on age specifics of the elderly.
