Ethnic beliefs were measured by test forms: "A tolerance index" (G. U. Soldatova, O. A. Kravtsova, L. A. Shaygerova), "Types and components of tolerance- intolerance" (G. L. Bardiyer), "Types of ethnic identity" (G. U. Soldatova, S. V. Ryzhova), and a semantic differential.
