Educational Logistics as a Basis for Educational Institution Management

Abstract: The article describes the main problems of educational institutions in the field of flow control: knowledge flow, personnel flow, and information flow. The concept of "educational logistics" is defined. It is argued that it is necessary to introduce an elective course "Educational Logistics" in the educational programs "Pedagogical Education" and "Management" to be included in the elective part of the curriculum in pedagogical colleges and pedagogical universities. It is underlined that it is important to increase the competencies of educational organizations managers in terms of optimization and management of flow processes. The article describes the content of the discipline "Educational Logistics" for secondary vocational education and higher pedagogical education. It also describes the readiness of the management system to implement logistics processes in an educational institution. The article discusses the qualitative changes in the system of management of educational organization revealed in its elements: the innovation orientation of educational logistics; organization of management activities at all levels; application of technologies for education logistics; professional-personal readiness of the leader to management on the basis of logistic approach. The article distinguishes and substantiates the principles of educational logistics: complexity, science, constructibility, reliability, and variability. It describes the main provisions of educational logistics as the basis for management of an educational institution.
