Abstract: Today the extremis ideology is gaining weight and is spreading among the young people. The analysis of the internal affairs of contemporary Russia shows serious changes in the development of Russian and international extremism. The article deals with the problems of formation of students' immunity to the propaganda of extremism on the basis of sociological research in organizations of secondary vocational education. The teaching staff of the secondary vocational educational institutions in Sverdlovsk region took part in the social research. The results of the research are the following: some teachers admit the existence of the new phenomenon, while the others deny its existence; some politicians try to attract underage students to illegitimate extremist actions; there is negative impact of mass communication on students’s worldview; preparedness to efficient counteraction against extremism among young people during ideological struggle, etc.
