Abstract: The article discusses the theoretical aspects of psychodiagnostics, the possibilities of its application in arts education. The article describes the approaches to modern psychodiagnostics: 1) objective approach; 2) subjective approach; 3) projective approach. The author provides the features of educational psychodiagnostics: tests of achievements and criterion-referenced testing. Criterion-referenced testing characterizes the results of the learning, the levels of mental development and personal achievements of students. The article considers various methods of psychodiagnostics in the field of arts education: psychodiagnostics of general and special art abilities, personality questionnaires, tests of achievements and creativity tests. The goals and results of psychodiagnostics of Bachelors of the specialty «44.03.01 Pedagogical education» are described on the basis of some practical tasks in the subject of «Psychology of Arts Education». The goal of the article is to characterize the methods and practical results of psychodiagnostics contributing to formation of psychological and pedagogical competences of Bachelor Degree students of Arts Education. The methods of this research and the results of the psychodiagnostics can be used by teachers of universities for the development of content of elective courses, diagnosis of personal qualities and general artistic abilities of students, and determination of the levels of skills to make achievement tests.
