Abstract: The article analyzes the specifics of the application of traditional principles of didactics in the formation of metasubject knowledge in the course of Informatics and ICT. The analysis of the philosophical and social aspects of the development and use of technology shows that the basic component of the technical culture of a person along with specific technical knowledge becomes metasubject (metatechnical) as a system of generalized knowledge of the techno-sphere (its structure, content, patterns of functioning and development). It is noted that the result of schooling should be associated with the development of technical culture in students, corresponding to the modern level of development of the technosphere. Approaches to solving this problem are associated both with a number of academic disciplines (physics, technology, computer science and ICT, chemistry, etc.), and with the improvement of the method of application in teaching a number of classical principles of didactics (science and accessibility, visibility, consciousness and activity, systematic and sequences, theory and practice). The formation of students' metasubject knowledge should be carried out in accordance with these principles. The content aspect of the method of forming metasubject knowledge is an updated version of the principle of systematicity and consistency, the key idea of which is a generalized plan for studying the object of computer technology, including scientific, technical, formulation and technical knowledge, components of the system-society-nature interaction system. It is concluded that such comprehensive knowledge of the technosphere and every object in its composition provides a higher level of technical culture of students, the result of which is a deep understanding of the role of science and man in the development of modern techno-environment and awareness of the possible consequences of the technical activity of society.
