Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of development of verbal (speech) creativity of children of preschool age. The relevance of this problem is justified in connection with the special role of speech and the creative activity of a child of preschool age in the development of all his mental processes. The purpose of the article is to determine the scientific phenomenon of verbal creativity as one of the most complex types of preschoolers' creative activity, analyze the main provisions of the Federal State Educational Standard for Preschool Education related to the development of an active creative personality of a child, and describe various approaches to the implementation of these provisions in variable preschool education programs. The theoretical aspects of the problem of development of verbal (speech) creativity of preschool children are summarized: the mechanisms of preschoolers' creative activity are indicated, the definition of this concept is corrected, the types of verbal (speech) creativity are identified, the stages of the formation of verbal (speech) creativity of children are indicated. The tasks of educational areas “Cognitive development”, “Social and communicative development”, “Speech development” and “Art and aesthetic development” in the Federal State Educational Standard of preschool education aimed at the development of the child's creative potential are analyzed. The author has identified the specific content of the work on the development of verbal (speech) creativity in comparing a number of modern educational programs of preschool education (Exemplary educational program of preschool education “Childhood”, Educational program of preschool education “Development”, Approximate educational program of preschool education “Origins”, Approximate educational program preschool education “Inspiration”). The main methods and techniques for the development of verbal (speech) creativity in these educational programs are summarized. Analysis of educational programs will help preschool teachers of education to take into account the features of the program in its implementation in the educational process and to ensure the successful solution of the tasks of developing verbal (speech) creativity of children.
