Abstract: The relevance of the study is due to the search for optimal tools to assess the formation of professionally-oriented management skills of future leaders of educational organizations. Modernization of education in the new environment requires the heads of educational organizations of different levels of appropriate management skills. The problem of research: what are the criteria, indicators and evaluation tools for the diagnosis of the formation of management skills of future leaders of educational organizations, formed in terms of University training? The research is aimed at solving this scientific problem. Analyzing the requirements to the modern head of education, best practices of management of educational organizations and training of future leaders of education at the University, the author identifies a number of Protivorechiy (deficits) and on their basis formulates management skills, the formation of which is necessary to improve the efficiency of training of future leaders of educational organizations. The article analyzes and clarifies the term-nological apparatus of pedagogical diagnostics, defines the tasks for which the diagnosis is directed, and forms the main stages of the diagnosis. In addition, the grounds for the definition of criteria and indicators were identified. Organizational and pedagogical conditions are determined for the formation of managerial skills. Further, the evaluation criteria were identified: personal-motivational, cognitive, activity. For each criterion, indicators are defined, through which they are disclosed. To assess each indicator, three levels of formation were determined: reproductive, productive, innovative. The means of evaluation of indicators used at the stages of incoming and final diagnostics are developed. The means of evaluation are questionnaires, psychological and pedagogical methods of assessing managerial skills, cases, observation with a detailed list of observed indicators and observation maps. The main results of scientific research are defined.
