Abstract: The increase in the number of people with disabilities in modern society and the development of humanistic trends in public policy and public life have led to the development of inclusive projects in recent decades. They are aimed at creating conditions for the successful positive socialization of various categories of citizens and the full realization of all the rights guaranteed to them by law. These processes are developing not only abroad, but also in Russia. At the same time, most of the people with disabilities today live in specialized institutions: adults in psycho-neurological boarding schools, children in boarding schools for children with mental retardation and physical disabilities. This leads to an exacerbation of the contradiction between the need for socio-cultural adaptation, self-realization in work and in everyday life of people with disabilities and the lack of conditions in closed institutions for the formation of their respective competencies. The above makes the search for new models of socialization of people with disabilities actual. A similar model has been created and is successfully functioning within the framework of the Sociopolis project, which is being implemented on the basis of the Blagoe Delo organization. The Blagoe Delo autonomous non-profit organization scientific-practical social and pedagogical association has existed since 2005. Today, the institution successfully solves a whole range of problems related to the inclusion of people with disabilities in society and the protection of their rights and interests. For 15 years, the organization has developed a new hospital-substituting model of life for people with disabilities in the Sverdlovsk region. This experience is summarized in the Sociopolis project. Sociopolis is a social complex on the territory of a small settlement, which includes accompanied living, social and labor employment, as well as socio-cultural adaptation of teenagers and adults with disabilities. It was conceived as a multifunctional platform for the socialization and inclusion of teenagers and adults with disabilities and graduates of orphanages in the municipalities of Novouralsk and Verkh-Neyvinsky. In addition, Sociopolis is a resource model of partnership between the NPO, local government bodies and regional departments aimed at organizing comprehensive support for people with disabilities, including mental ones, as an alternative to stationary institutions. The article presents the technology of social and pedagogical support for people with disabilities, implemented within the framework of the Sociopolis project.
