Abstract: In the presented article, the relevance of the phenomenon of cross-cultural communication in the global world, and first of all in the modern educational space, is considered. Interest in the problem arose in connection with the active changes in sociocultural, educational, communicative and other spheres in which the processes of integration and inclusion are actively developing. In the first part of the article the authors pay special attention to the similarities and differences in the concepts of «cross-cultural communication» and «intercultural communication» in the works of Russian and foreign scientists. The authors state that the study of the concept of «cross-cultural communication» is paid attention to in various scientific fields. This led to a lack of unity in the definition of «cross-cultural communication». The authors revealed that this phenomenon in the context of pedagogy and modern education is understudied. In the second part of the article the authors turn to the analysis of normative and legal documents: the law «On Education in the Russian Federation», educational standards of various levels; determine the problem field of cross-cultural communication in the modern educational space, by the example of the introduction and implementation of inclusive processes in relation to students with disabilities. The third part of the article is devoted to the definition of strategic guidelines that promote the development of cross-cultural communication in the modern educational space, the appeal to the concept of pedagogy of interactions in the educational space. This article may be of interest to participants in educational relations (teachers, parents (legal representatives) of students), as well as representatives of other scientific fields (psychology, sociology, culturology, philosophy, etc.).
