Memorizing Mechanisms Activation in Artificial Bilingualism Environment

Abstract: This paper concentrates on the topical problem of enhancing the teaching methodology of the English language at Universities. The results of this research can be considered by teachers of higher educational establishments elaborating new educational programs of teaching the English language and methodological systems. The target audience is students of institutions of higher learning with different levels of language proficiency whose curriculum includes foreign English classes in groups. The purpose of the article is efficiency improvement of teaching English as a foreign language using psycholinguistic methods for activation of memorizing mechanisms under the conditions of artificial bilingualism. The analysis of substantial approaches to defining artificial bilingualism and special characteristics of bilingual memory was made. The authors established the opportunity of using psycholinguistic methods for activation of memorizing mechanisms of bilinguals. The authors developed recommendations on improvement of teacher’s impact on the processes of storing, transferring and information processing from one type of memory into another one. The findings of this research will be useful in teaching activities at Universities and will facilitate the effectiveness of educational process and bring students to advanced results. It will also promote the future development of teaching methods of the English language in terms of the psycholinguistic approach.
