Abstract: Almost any sport is dangerous, as it is connected with serious psychological and physical stress in unusual conditions. There are several raitings of injury risk in different sports made by doctors and physiologists. These raitings differ in certain details, but in almost all of them artistic gymnastics, calisthenics, sports acrobatics, sports aerobics, hockey, football, skiing and dancing take the first places. Some of these sports are not suitable for children under 10-12, while the others are suitable for children of 3-4 years of age. Special emphasis is laid on injuries in acrobatics. Exercises of this kind of sport are included in almost all PE programs for kindergartens, schools, vocational colleges, technical schools and universities. Among these exercises are: rolls, rolls over, cartwheels, balance and poise, handstands, crab position, splits abd some doubles and group exercises. The skills acquired in acrobatics are of great importance for the future life, as they may be useful not only in sport, but also in many other situations. For instance, all people should be able to roll, balance and fall. These skills will prevent them from injuries in winter when it is slippery, or when they do such sports as martial arts. The difficulty and range of acrobatics are diverse: the simplest exercises are suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions; the variety and novelty of the exercises guarantee involvement. In spite of the fact that young acrobats and their parents should know that the injuries are inevitable, trainers and instructors should explain the children which exercises are the most dangerous to make the children more careful and thus reducing the risk of injuries. No doubt it is necessary to study ways to reduce risk of injuries in acrobatics. The experience of sport and training is essential.
