Abstract: The article presents the results of an empiric study of emotional aspects of interaction between parents and children and the motivational sphere of mothers who strive to enhance their children‘s development. Under ―enhancement‖ we understand the mother‘s striving to accelerate her child‘s development, which means that the child proceeds earlier to the next development stage. It shows that the leading motive of the tested mothers is happiness of their children. But mothers who enhance the development of their children also have instrumental maternity motives in the contrast to the mothers from the control group, for whom striving for their own well-being is the priority. Such factors of emotional interaction as the ability to cognize the condition of a child, to understand the reasons of this condition; unconditioned acceptance of a child, the need of body contact are less common among those mothers who enhance their child‘s development.
Key words: Motivational sphere; emotional aspects of parent-child interaction; maternity; enhancing of development, pre-school age.
