Abstract: The article studies the features of psychologically comfortable and safe educational environment, its key parameters and possibilities of its formation in the educational institution. On the basis of the undertaken theoretical analysis, the article argues the necessity of inclusion of the corresponding discipline in the curriculum of future teachers; it also defines the main competences which are formed according to the requirements of the professional standard of a teacher. The phenomenon of psychological security is considered on different levels: macro-social (on the level of society, in the context of national security, as a part of social security); meso-social (on the level of local habitat and interaction in family, education and organization sphere); micro-social (on the level of the person as preservation of their integrity, psychological stability of an individual, adaptivity of the function of man, ability to resist unfavorable factors of the social medium, which manifests itself in the feeling of one’s security). The general principles of psychologically safe educational environment include the formation of subject-subject relations; cooperation as joint activity, communication and mutual understanding, mutual support; subject positioning and dialogue of relations, development of personal ties between the participants of the education process, relations of sincerity and truth; respectful and friendly relation to the person. The author presents a course of “Fundamentals of Design of Psychologically Safe Educational Environment”, which is integrated with the following disciplines: “Formation of Safe and Comfortable Educational Environment”, “Pedagogy as a Science and Art”, Psycho-diagnostics in the Educational Practice of a Teacher”, “Psychology of Interaction in Educational Environment” and “Ethics of Education and Upbringing”.
