Abstract: Specifics of realization the polytechnical principle in teaching are examined in this article. The main objectives of polytechnic training of students are revealed. The learning model of technical issues in the physics course in secondary school is discussed. The necessity of technical students knowledge and skills forming as the basis of their technical culture development is marked. The attention to the importance of additional students polytechnic training associated with technological innovation is drawn. Robotics is defined as the most important and attractive area of technical knowledge and practical activities for students. A review of methodological publications on educational robotics is completed. Its primary application in supplementary education is marked. The importance of implementing of educational robotics in educational process of secondary school is emphasized. In this context the need to treat the educational robotics as a special technology training is justified. In its structure there are three components. Robotics is the object of study, the instrument of knowledge and a means of training, development and education of students. The content of these components is revealed. The main types of the teacher’s work in each direction are identified. Examples of the use of robotic systems at physics lessons are given. The types of educational projects on robotics are discussed.
