Abstract: The article dwells on Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education in the field of training of specialists of social pedagogy and bachelors of psychological-pedagogical education. It presents a historic view of scientific and methodological support of training of specialists of social pedagogy and the contradictions that arise in the process of realization of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education in the field of psychological-pedagogical education (Psychology and Social Pedagogy). The author singles out several contradictions between the notions of ―professional activity of a social pedagogue‖ and ―professional training of bachelors‖, professional activity of a social pedagogue and his/her professional training, formation of professional competences of a future bachelor and the competences of a social pedagogue, high quality training of bachelors of psychological-pedagogical education and its scientific-methodological support and the necessity of working out methodological aspects of training of bachelors of psychological-pedagogical education and their state of being poorly developed today.
