Abstract: The article presents the main results of an empirical research of socio-psychological determinants of cyber addiction of adolescents and describes the factor structure of cyber addiction. The article defines the importance of empirical investigation of socio-psychological determinants of cyber addiction in adolescents, formulates the goal, object, subject and research hypothesis of the study, singles out the main stages of the study, presents the methods and techniques of research and characterizes the sample grouping into subgroups according to the level of propensity to cyber addiction. The beginning of the article formulates the problem of research connected with the global computerization of the modern society. Then the article describes the undertaken analysis of the stages, factors and components of formation of cyber addiction in adolescents. The article reveals not only the psychological determinants of cyber addiction in adolescents, such as personal characteristics, self-attitude, anxiety and aggression, but also the social ones - style of interpersonal interaction and specificity of parent-child relationships. The article describes an empirical study aimed at identifying socio-psychological determinants of cyber addiction in adolescents. The article gives characteristics of two experimental groups differing in the level of the propensity to cyber addiction, the age of the tested pupils and methods of their formation, enumerates the methods of research and substantiates their choice. The article presents the results of research in quantitative and qualitative form, as well as the comparison of the two groups. The problem field for the experimental group is also defined with the aim of developing and testing a program of psycho-pedagogical support of teenagers prone to cyber addiction.
