Abstract: This is a review of the work on the development and perfection of cooperation between China and Russia in the educational sphere. The example of such work is the Forum “Teach and Learn in Russian: Traditions of Cultural and Educational Cooperation between Sverdlovsk Region and the Northwest Provinces of China”. It is planned to keep such events as an international scientific conference, international competition of methodological works in Russian as a foreign language (for Chinese students and pupils), meeting of the graduates from the Russian universities who are currently living in Northwest China and Chinese students learning Russian, master-classes within the seminar on methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language in secondary and higher schools in China and Russia, presentation of scientific and methodological books in Russian as a foreign language and the projects supported by the Ministry of Education. Scientific and methodological results of this Forum will promote the Russian language and the Russian culture, which will contribute to the increasing of the number of students learning Russian at schools and universities of Northwest China. It will also help to perfect the quality of teaching Russian. The knowledge of the Russian language, in its turn, will increase the number of Chinese applicants, who want to study in Russia.
