Abstract: N. I. Golubovskaya, outstanding pianist and teacher, a representative of the Leningrad piano school, has become best known as an interpreter of early music, as well as the author of the book "the Art of Pedalization". Among her most gifted graduates is E. I. Tabarovskaya, who became one of the leading teachers in the special piano class in the musical ten-year school at the Ural State Conservatoire ( now the music Lyceum) and cherished the memory of N. I. Golubovskaya and her musical heritage. E. I. Tabarovsky has trained many students who became professional musicians and teachers: among the most talented is A. A. Shakhnovskaya, who continued the work of her teacher E. I. Tabarovskaya, and became a teacher and pianist at the music Lyceum as well. Continuing the creative traditions of N. I. Golubovskaya, she broadens the scope of her professional activity, studies child pedagogy and psychology and develops an original course for children in the form of group classes. Such methodology is very urgent today, because playing the piano is a complicated process, and pedagogical attempts to find different ways of adaptation of the child to the instrument should be encouraged. This innovative course has already received high praise from the music teachers of the Lyceum. A. A. Shakhnovskaya teaches students who become professional musicians, among them there are laureates of international competitions, such as A. Esaulkov and A. Borodin. These talented young pianists are composers as well, the write their own piano transcripts of the Russian classics and perform them at their solo concerts. Thus, the tradition of N. I. Golubovskaya is a very fruitful branch in the Urals and has its grateful and worthy successors.
Key words: Piano pedagogy and performance, style, development and innovation, young followers of N. I. Golubovskaya musical style in the Urals.
