The Influence of the Information Environment and the Information of the Immune System of Children

Abstract: This article analyzes the most well-known media-centered and person-centered theories of mass communication that interpret the impact of information environment on personality development differently. Special attention is paid to the idea of metapsychology, which puts forward the problem of information security. It is noted that the creation of a secure information environment can be carried out on the public (social) level. This level would include the improvement of legal protection of information security of children, the establishment of laboratories for the study of the media environment with the aim of examination of information products, involvement of the public and responsibility of the staff of mass communication sphere. On internal (personal level) it is necessary to form an informational immunity. The means of formation of such immunity are media analysis (the ability to understand and analyze media products) and media-practice (the ability to make one’s own media products).
