Abstract: Creativity of representatives of the literary community, referring in their works to historical and war realities, promotes acquaintance with the events of importance in the national history and facilitates Russian culture popularization. Russian literature and art – poetry and prose, art, music, theater, cinema – have consistently received high estimation in the neighboring friendly China. Chinese people have always been interested in many works from various fields of art, many of which have acquired a cult status. The writer-soldier Boris Vasilyev made a significant contribution to the development of the intercultural space of Russia and China with his creative activity, thus connecting the two countries. The Central Television of China released a 20-part serial "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" based on his novel to the 60-th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War as a government assignment. Sacrifice of girls and young women, who were designed by nature for procreation, but gave their lives for their country, is the highest manifestation of patriotism in Chinese tradition. The Administration of Heilongjiang Province transformed the set of the television series into a place of interest. At present, "The Russian village" is a Chinese-Russian park of national traditions, which has a military and historical value, connecting the past and the present, the cultural space of Russia and China; and therefore the contribution of the Russian writer Boris Vasilyev in cross-cultural relations between the two great nations seems invaluable.
