E-learning in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language: Presentations in Teaching Non-Verbal Communication

Abstract: The subject of the article is the possibility to create and use e-learning means (presentations) in teaching Russian as a foreign language, to teach students non-verbal communication. E-learning makes it possible to use different digital forms of educational aids. It makes the learning environment vivid and clear. The topicality of the research is determined by the fact that culture-bound information, including proper interpretation of non-verbal signs used by the speaker, is very important for the development of polycultural language personality and acquisition of intercultural competence. The use of electronic presentations in teaching non-verbal communication is urgent, because they allow to introduce videos for better perception and understanding of the information in foreign language by the students. The article describes the content and the results of the system of classes to teach non-verbal communication, held in the group of Chinese students learning Russian at the Faculty of Philology at Bashkir State University in 20152016 academic year. The goal of teaching was to master communication skills of the foreign students with regard to non-verbal behavior of the native speakers.
