Ethno-Cultural Texts at the Lessons of Russian Language in the Khakas Multicultural School

Abstract: The given article deals with ethno-cultural textual material which is needed at the lessons of the Russian language at a policultural school in the Republic of Khakassia. The author believes that didactic texts help to create the optimal conditions for teaching and education of the pupils. The use of the local didactic material facilitates interest to the subject and the native place and broadens the understanding of its history and culture. The article gives examples of text dictations for the 9th Form on the basis of fragments from the works of Khakass writers. The texts have not been changed and are given in the original punctuation and orthography. The peculiarity of ethno-cultural texts consists in the fact that they have lexical and content “markers” as national-regional labels which are characteristic of a certain people/ethnos. The author thinks that the ethno-cultural textual material should be used first of all at the lessons of speech development, in individual exercises in the classroom and at home and in test papers. On the whole, the ethno-cultural textual material forms the linguistic, communicative and culturological competence, including the ethno-culturological one.
