Abstract: The article is concerned with the problem of effective teaching of the subject “Russian as a Foreign Language” to students of higher educational establishments. The article deals with the issues connected with teaching a foreign language communicative competence to students. Achievement of the stated competence influences both the structure of teaching and the selection of educational technologies that can lead to more efficient Russian language teaching. Special importance should be attached to combining traditional methods with interactive technologies. Interactive technologies of teaching Russian as a foreign language are aimed at mastering teaching material by learners through the practice of communication. Received practical skills and abilities can be useful not only in the process of learning the Russian Language, but also in the process of their social and professional interaction. Interactive teaching is based on dialogue form of learners' interaction, where the abilities of joint activity are formed. Interactive teaching of Russian as a foreign language is one of the variants of communicative approach in teaching. Interactive teaching is based on active interaction of a teacher and students, and also students with each other. All students in class are involved in communication during the lesson with the use of interactive teaching technologies. Integration of interactive technologies into teaching Russian as a foreign language meets the demands of the students making the material they learn more illustrative, contributing to its better comprehension, and mastering the language.
