Abstract: The article deals with the emotional component of communication and learning as a problem area in the practice of teaching in groups of students from the countries of Asia-Pacific and Latin America. In addition, the article explains the need to pay more attention to the training of foreign students in the expression of emotions during the educational activity. The problem of training of foreign students and the ways of expressing emotions is discussed. The aim of the article is to analyze the characteristics of the opposite behavior at the lessons of Russian as a foreign language. We used the method of observation and systematization of data. The majority of students at the preparatory department of the Southern Federal University are from Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. On the basis of the study we concluded that teachers need to know what emotions are most difficult for foreign students in terms of interpretation and consider this when building a training plan, as wrong word, incorrectly selected tone may greatly injure the foreign student. The results of this paper can be used by teachers when dealing with foreign students.
