Abstract: The article substantiates the idea of the need of development and implementation of remote оlympiad in applied decorative art as a new form of organization of additional education in the structure of art education. The aim of the olympiad is to motivate students to project-research activity in the system of primary and additional education at the university. The authors substantiate the specificity of remote olympiad in applied decorative art related to the synthetic nature of this field of art education. The article describes networking between the participants of the olympiad and its organizers as an instrument of organization of remote interaction. The methods of conducting a remote оlympiad in applied decorative art as a means of activization of project-research activity are described. The article characterizes a complex of educational-creative tasks, consistent solution of which defines the structure and stages of creative activity of students, makes it possible to distance the organization and support for their independent work on projecting decorative products in the framework of оlympiad tasks. The characteristic of possible thematic areas of work of the participants of the оlympiad on the artistic idea of the plastic image of decorative items is given. The article explains the scheme of information support for organization and conduct of remote creative competition by means of a specialized site on the Internet. The authors disclose the main contents of electronic training manuals for the organization of project-research activity of students in the process of training for holding remote оlympiads in applied decorative art.
