Abstract: The article reveals: understanding of the essence of subject-gnoseological level of the methodology of social pedagogy as current theory in line with its subject area; theory as a basis for further study of phenomena and processes of social pedagogy, as well as the implementation of this knowledge into practice in common and in new situations; the bases of the main, on what the essence of something is built; the basis of social pedagogy; the theoretical foundations of social pedagogy: its beginning and history; social pedagogy of personality that includes the theory of social development, achievement, socialization and desocialization, adaptation amd desadaptation and their reference to socio-pedagogical activity; the bases of social and pedagogical activity; pedagogy of environment, its essence and influence, the need for pedagogization of this environment; pedagogy of environment that includes socio-pedagogy and environmental pedagogy as well as the basis for pedagogization of environment, social education of a person, correction, their essence, content and practical implementation etc.
