Practice as an Important Component of the System of Training Future Teachers

Abstract: Educational institutions training teachers face the face the task of modernization of education, search of conditions for training teachers who can effectively solve problems arising in real professional activity. The authors believe these conditions to be the following: integration of disciplines of the module "Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages", all kinds of pedagogical practice, course papers and final qualifying works in methods of teaching in one module; development of methods support of students’ work and supervisors’ activity, and creation of basic secondary educational institutions cooperation with which would enable the University to improve the quality of training future teachers. The authors also single out problem areas of organization of pedagogical practice and ways of their solution, consider assessment of performance of students during practice and determine the level of formation of competences. The described experience has shown that continuity in the content and forms of organization of classes in methods and pedagogical practice allows future teachers to understand the content of theoretical material and that is the key to successful mastering the profession of a teacher.
