Abstract: The article presents scientific foundations of pedagogy of interaction – an urgent line of development of education system, describes experience of study of interaction as a leading category of pedagogy and specifies the main lines of development of the scientific school: megasphere interpreted as the result of interactions in the world education space; metasphere reflecting interactions in a concrete national education system; mesosphere realized in local education systems; and microsphere formed by direct contacts between the participants of an education process. The article also defines the basic characteristics of pedagogical interaction as the main scientific category of the school: universality, relativity, selectivity, integrity and self-sufficiency; names the principles for typologies of pedagogical interactions of the subjects of education process; presents the participants of the scientific school who made a significant contribution in the development of ideas of pedagogy of interaction; and names the main scientific fields in which candidate dissertations of the participants were written (general pedagogy, history of pedagogy: theory and methods of pre-school education, theory and methods of teaching and upbringing, theory and methods of professional education). The article describes the achievements in the theory (monographs, scientific papers, teaching aids, etc.) and practical recommendations in the sphere of activity of the scientific school “Pedagogy of interaction in educational space” realized in grants activity and special programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
