Abstract: The article dwells on the problem of spiritual and moral education of junior schoolchildren. In spite of the importance of this aspect for the modern primary school, many questions of practical realization of the technologies of spiritual and moral development of junior schoolchildren still remain unanswered. To define the possibilities of extracurricular activities for the solution of the designated problem it is necessary to address the potential of video game animation programs. The article considers a technique of implementation of the program of extracurricular activities "UGRA – the World which is built by us", including the acquaintance of junior schoolchildren with traditions, cultural and moral values of the peoples living in Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous Okrug. As a result of step-by-step acquaintance of junior schoolchildren with the culture of the peoples of UGRA there takes place conscious perception of traditional values and their embodiment in animated movies created by children.
