Abstract: This article is based on the materials of the study of Ekaterinburg teachers’ attitude to the Unified State Exam (USE). The survey data include 529 teachers’ responses in the city of Ekaterinburg in 2016, as well as materials of аll-Russian research center of public opinion during the period from 2006 to the present. The attitude towards the exam was revealed through a series of questions related to its objectivity in comparison with the other criteria to assess the outcomes of educational activities, procedures, violations and the need of psychological training of students before the exam. A general tendency was noted: during this period the awareness about the procedure of the exam is increasing, and yet increases the proportion of respondents showing negative attitude to the exam. In general the study showed that the teachers of Ekaterinburg are positive about the exam and about the latest innovations associated with it. The authors compared the opinions of teachers of different age groups: under 40 years of age and after 40 years of age, and also teachers from ordinary schools and prestigious school (lyceums, gymnasiums and schools with advanced study of the subject).
