Abstract: The idea of continuous, consistent and open education is very popular today. Open education gives new opportunities for the development of modern society. This idea involves the creation of a single data storage necessary for the educational process to which students could apply in secondary school and higher education institutions, as well as throughout their life. To implement this idea the author proposes to use the resources of special websites - hosting. In particular, we consider such opportunities as the organization of placement in local FTP servers and FTP hosting Internet resources. Examples of access rights to the content in various subjects by teachers and learners are given, the organization of the database for the storage of student performance data is shown, the possibility of creating websites that contain lecture materials, as well as training and testing modules is proposed. The article discusses the main advantages and disadvantages of using cloud technology for the realization of the principles of open education. The analysis of the possibilities and limitations of various Internet services is undertaken, the conclusion is made that the effective use of web hosts is possible only on a fee basis.
