Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of profession-oriented training as a component of social-based learning and pre-professional socialization of high school students. Pre-professional socialization is considered as a social formation of personality in high school, during which students, on the one hand, develop and reproduce social experience of professional self-determination, employment, professional training, and, on the other, regulate the process of self-education, self-transformation and professional development. Educational activities in the framework of pre-professional socialization include career guidance, an overview of available jobs and constant motivation to work and self-determination. As a result by the end of school the student has already chosen the sphere that he wants to work in and he is ready for further development. This model of pre-professional socialization reflects the process of personal development students, performs the function of self-determination and pre-vocational education, which is determined by the presence of certain institutions and stages in the modern socio-economic conditions. The main stages of pre-professional socialization can be implemented in the process of profession-oriented training. We also discuss the methods and technologies used in social education in profession-oriented training.
