Traditions and Innovations of Children's Dance in the Urals

Abstract: The article describes development of children's dance in the Ural region, the most popular styles, types and genres of children's dance. The reasons of emergence and development of certain forms of children's choreographic art are revealed. On the example of children's studio of modern dance "Orange" we prove that the Ural children's choreographic school can achieve good results and even become the leading school in the region. Choreographic art gives opportunities in physical, aesthetic and ethical education of children. Dancing not only helps children to understand the beauty, but also develops imagination and promotes harmonic physical development. Syncretic nature of dancing stimulates development of rhythm, an ear for music, the ability to understand music and interpret it in a dance, trains the muscles, teaches plasticity of hands, grace and expressiveness. Acquaintance with the basic elements of classical, national, historical and domestic and modern dance, as well as special knowledge, develops artistic taste and grace. Besides, dancing shapes character and behavior of a person and masters performance abilities, without which any dance performance is impossible. Traditions and innovations of development of children's dance in the Ural region are considered in the article on the example of a popular regional competition of children's variety performance "The Ural Stars".
