Abstract: The article deals with the problem of updating the content and instrumental components of the system of methodological training of students of pedagogical universities, the relevance of which is caused by the analysis of normative documents (the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education and the Professional Teacher’s Standard) in terms of comparing the requirements for the level of professional training. Within the framework of solving this problem and taking into account the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in the modern information and communication didactic environment, it is proposed to distinguish the following components of the methodological component of the professional competence of students: the ability to design methods in traditional classifications, the ability to compose modern methods of teaching in new classifications, the ability to assess the correspondence of the designed methods to the target attitudes and psychological and pedagogical conditions. The activity of designing these methods is built taking into account the features of the modern information and communication educational (didactic) environment. As a new tool for the formation of the necessary skills, we suggest an educational and cognitive system for the examination of relevant activities, implemented by means of spreadsheets. Two principal components are distinguished in the system: 1) the generator of the content and structural elements of the learning methods required for the construction of the method, containing three blocks: the selection of the initial conditions; automation of the decisionmaking on the recommended constituent elements of the method (class of methods): actions, methods and operations; systematization of information about all elements of the method (class of methods); 2) expert activity on the evaluation of the received method (or class of methods) in conditions of conventionally-role reflection. The proposed ideas are realized in the context of integration of the competency and contextual approaches, and the system of expertise is an example of the technology (automatization) of the organization of educational and cognitive activities of students aimed at the formation (development, diagnostics of development) of the methodological component of professional competencies and future teachers' work.
