Abstract: This article is about systemic changes in teacher’s education in Russia, shifting the emphasis towards creativity and educational activities for the representatives of student groups. In the groups of young people this systemic unit is characterized by heterogeneity and ambiguity as to its composition and activities. Because of this, future teachers are not only bearers of values, but they are rather communicators of values. It is noted that representatives of the student groups are responsible for the development and strengthening of the ideas of humanism, peace and culture. Emphasizing their subjective position, the authors of the article argue the advantages of the democratic system of external leadership. The authors noted that reducing the autonomy of future teachers in general, as well as their preparedness and awareness, it is necessary to focus on revitalization of creative educational activities in the context of the newly designed educational environment, paying special attention to the representatives of student groups with specific psychological, biological, social and psycho-pedagogical traits. The article presents the first results of an empirical study of the values of future teachers in the framework of student groups. The initial processing of the data allowed to conclude about the dominance among the instrumental values of tolerance, sensitivity, independence, and among the terminal values of freedom, confidence and love. This allows the authors to make the first conclusion about the readiness of representatives of student groups to be the initiators of creating a nurturing environment for schoolchild. These findings are not exhaustive, being based only on primary results of the study of the specific characteristics of future teachers in the framework of student groups and their characteristics of value sphere only from the standpoint of the study of instrumental and terminal values, without regard to the characteristics of personal meaning. This will be described in the next article.
